Project 760 Productions Announces A Summertime Release for "A-Factor"

Project 760 Productions announces the launch of its latest production, The A-Factor Podcast in the summer of 2008. The podcast, sponsored by advertisers and private individuals, will focus primarily on the promotion of Asian and Asian-influenced independent and unsigned music artists as well as contain a variety of segments related Asian culture. The A-Factor Podcast will replace World of Anime on Podcast, currently produced by Project 760 Productions.

Podcasting is a way of publishing audio files to the Internet using the popular RSS protocol. Podcast listeners can use an aggregator, such as the iTunes Music Store from Apple Computer or the Zune Marketplace from Microsoft, for their computers that automatically download new programs once they become available. Files can later be transferred to portable audio players, such as the iPod or Zune. Podcast aggregators can be obtained freely on the Internet for both PC and Macintosh platforms.

"The podcast hopes to promote music by Asian and Pacific Islanders in a way that has not been offered before," says The A-Factor Podcast executive producer Ray Nagar, citing the need for programs that spotlight Asian-Pacific Islanders in mainstream media. "We encourage Asian and Pacific Islander musicians and artists to contact us at Project 760 Productions so that we can spotlight them on our show."

The premiere episode will be available to podcast listeners at http://project760network.mypodcast.com in the Summer of 2008. In the interim, artist spotlight teasers are being released on the podcast feed and an announcement about the new show is posted on the existing programs on the Project 760 Network instructing listeners about the first podcast and where artists can submit their music. "In the future, we hope to incorporate music news and concert performance announcements for the artists that we feature on the podcast," says Nagar. "In addition, we hope to create 'hits' that the artists are well-known for and will feature artists more after their first appearance on the podcast in order to get listeners acquainted with their sound and give them a reason to support their work."

Advertisers and individuals interested in sponsoring the podcast are encouraged to contact Project 760 Productions at 415-505-9878 or via e-mail at media@project760.net
